:: Urban Plunge

About Urban Plunge

Urban Plunge gives you and your middle school or high school youth, college-age, or adult group the opportunity to serve agencies and organizations that are already working hard for change with Denver’s homeless and working poor populations. Through the Urban Plunge experience, your group can also enjoy a meal at one of Denver’s ethnic restaurants, hear directly from marginalized and poor people in our community, and reflect on all you’ve seen and done in light of the Gospel.

Lodging and Food

Urban Plunge groups stay in local churches who donate their space. You’ll most likely be sleeping on the floor, so bring sleeping bags and pads. Some churches have showers, but if the church you stay in does not have showers, we’ll make arrangements for you to shower at the local YMCA. Weekend Plunge groups are responsible for their own meals, but we'll be happy to make a reservation for you at East Colfax Ethiopian Restaurant, Little India, or Ethel's House of Soul! Weeklong Plunge groups have their meals for the week included in the registration cost.
